Twentynine Palms Book Festival
Overview
Partnered with festival founders to shape programming, operations, and sponsorship strategy for a young regional literary festival during its second and third annual events.

“Rebekah joined us at a pivotal moment and immediately made a difference.”
“I recommend her wholeheartedly for any role that requires vision, leadership, and a genuine commitment to building community.”
Challenge
With a small team managing nearly 90 authors, the festival needed a more efficient way to organize information and communicate clearly with participants. At the same time, leadership recognized the need to develop sustainable revenue streams to support future growth beyond volunteer capacity.
Approach
Built application and participant management systems that streamlined how information was collected and organized.
Developed clear, professional communications for authors and guests, ensuring they felt welcome and informed.
Twice redesigned the festival website to reflect a polished brand identity before and after the events.
Crafted a sponsorship proposal (including a $38K package tailored to a regional casino) to strengthen future funding opportunities.
Launched an Author Marketing Services unit and signed the first author client, piloting a model for new earned revenue.
Developed marketing materials, author relations, and event hosting, representing the festival with warmth and professionalism.
